Raven draws back the purple silk drapes from around her market stall and steps out into the light, offering a glimpse to the onlookers of what is inside this time. The large octagon shaped tent is dark, lit only just with a varying assortment of candles in all shades of purple, red, and cream and the gentle scent of sandalwood drifts out into the dew-filled morning. The eerie glow from the small flames casts a creepy feel into the incense filled air. Raven draws her black floor-length coat closer around her as the morning chill nips at her skin. Smiling at the crowd she shows that in the shadows of the tent there are some eerie and perhaps frightening creatures.
A female ghost type nightmare walks out cautiously sniffing the air. She stops next to Raven and eyes the onlookers.

"Welcome once again everyone. These creatures were discovered in all of the dark and seemingly lifeless places in the world, where one would never expect to find something alive. They may look frightening and sinister but for the most part they are solitary, protective, and very loyal. Except maybe for the undead. They are always hungry. Particularly for fruit. Scary and creepy they appear but these creatures are not harmful and they really are amazing companions. Would any of you like to come in and meet them? They are shy and secretive but once you gain their trust they make wonderful guardians."

Disclaimer: I was having a very bad day and I was very depressed. It was during this depressed episode that I created the Stuff of Nightmares creatures. Yes I know these pets are 'creepy', 'scary', and not typical, being that they are not 'cute', 'furry' and 'adorable'. But I happen to love them and I was very proud of their creation. If you don't like them because they are not cute and cuddly, then you need not adopt. Thank you. =)

Nightmares are technically genderless since they are not actually a living breathing creature. They are more like spirits or souls. If you want to say your Nightmare is male or female that is up to you, but they are technically genderless and may soul-split (breed) with whomever they choose to.

All may or may not have an aura glow around them.

Soul-Splitting is the term used for 'breeding' your Nightmares. Due to the fact that they are not a flesh and blood living creature they can not technically breed. The way they reproduce is to split off a piece of themselves, a piece of their own soul, and join it up with another Nightmare's soul piece to create a while new Nightmare, hence the term 'soul-splitting'.
