You have been summoned to take part in Tiffany's grand Halloween event. She has allowed you and two other people to participate in what may be the scariest thing you've ever encountered thus far at The Crossroads.
You stand at the doorstep of a very large and dark building. Looking up, you see the door is no longer plain and white, but has been painted gray and has bloody smears all over it. There is a bronze ornate doorknocker in the center and no doorknob.
You reach up and make use of the doorknocker. "Tap! Tap! Tap!" Without hesitation after your third knock, the door creaks open slowly and you try to look inside. There is nothing but darkness. And you must now step into it.
You step inside and before you get a chance to get your bearings about you, the door slams closed behind you and locks itself. You turn to see if there is any way out, but there's nothing. Looks like you really are stuck in here.
Your eyes adjust to the darkness and you try to look around. Squinting, you see a dim light ahead of you and another to the right of you. Which way do you go?
Make your choice: Forward, or to the right?

Raven drew her breath, gathering her thoughts in the cold darkness. She pulled her seavenge hoodie closer to herself and scrunched her face. Why was it so darned cold in here? It was probably due to the black... nothingness. Reaching down she placed her hand against her pocket to ensure that she still had the half of the skeleton key and the bit of broken teacup that Tiffany had given to her. Both were still there. Looking around, she waited for her eyes to adjust to the light. There were two dim patches of hope up ahead and to the right. Hmmn. Which way to go. Putting on her game face Raven smirked and headed toward the right direction and toward the light.

You can hear screaming. Blood-curdling screaming. Then suddenly, it stops. You hear wicked cackling in the distance, growing fainter and fainter. Then nothing at all.
Something brushes up against your leg, or at least... You thought it did...
You take a couple more cautious steps, the faint light becoming brighter as you go along and you realize that the source of the light is something glowing... Something... In the wall of the maze you have entered.

Those voices. The screaming. It was like something out of a bad slasher film Raven had heard many years ago. She listened to them, echoing off the surroundings. And then suddenly they just stopped. The cackling that followed was not only eerie but it was ridiculous to boot. Raven giggled to herself. It reminded her of her wicked step-grandmother. A shudder came over her and she hushed herself. Bad memories all around. Taking a step forward she jumped slightly when it felt like something brushed against her. Reaching down in the darkness she felt around but came upon nothing. Standing back up she once more headed toward the light. As she approached she could see the faint glow of something getting brighter. Pausing for a moment Raven considered her options. Whatever it was, she was going to find out. With that she continued toward the glow.

Without realizing how close you were to the wall, you ran right into it! Unfortunately for you, it was an optical illusion. The light was not actually on *this* side of the wall, but instead on the other side, and you just slammed right into the wall in an attempt to get closer. Fishsticks! Your face hurts.
Maybe you should see if there's a way around this blasted wall, because, as you are well aware, mazes are famous for having walls that just stick out to be annoying and make you walk around them...

BLAM. Ow. Raven peeled her face off of the clear wall and rubbed her cheek. That's gonna leave a mark. She thought to herself. Stupid walls. Always jumping in your way when you were just walking along all gallantly with all of the magnificence of a summer peacock. Noooo, they just had to come along and give you a whole dose of Piss Me Off. So Raven, still rubbing her cheek and glaring icily at the wall thought about it for a moment. There had to be a way around. Somehow. Methodically she thought about how she could figure it out. Putting both hands on the wall she side-stepped to the right, keeping one hand flat on the wall at all times while crossing her other arm in front of her. Maybe this would get her somewhere, if only to the end of the wall.

It was a good plan, except after a couple of steps you bumped into a corner. Perhaps try the other direction?

Blasted! Raven put on a pissy smirk and snorted. This wasn't working. Stupid corner. Turning back she began side-stepping in the other direction, feeling low and high for something, anything that would give her any indication that she was not in a box that made up the madhouse mind of Tiffany the Incredibly Sinister.

Nope, not in a box! But definitely on the right track, now. Your hand slipped around the corner of the wall and revealed an opening to you so you could walk through.
The light was growing brighter, but now you had another decision to make. It seemed the original light you were headed toward was toward the right... But there was a new glimmer of a light that had a red tint to it if you went forward...
So: Forward, or to the right?

Raven sighed a bit relievedly to herself as her hand finally found the end of the wall. Squeezing through the narrow gap she could finally see where the original light was coming from. And then there ahead in the path a new light, red in color. Red usually meant something bad. Or a stop sign. Or a read street light. And that meant OMGDON'TGOTHATWAY. So, turning to the right she kept after her original plan and made toward the first light and as far away from the red light (of death, probably) as she could get.

You probably made a good decision to stay away from the red light... For now at least. Around another corner you went, and there was that light you sought after. Finally!
Before you lies a bloody mess of a kitchen scene. Literally... Bloody... Handprints, pawprints, splatters of blood all over the place. It looks like a butcher shop, minus the meat.
Pots and pans are stacked up everywhere, all dirty and covered in yuck. There's a crazy little brown rabbit wearing a dark brown coat, blue bowtie, and bloodstained chef's apron standing on a step stool in front of the stove. He's stirring some mysterious mixture that occasionally boils over onto the flame of the stove. He hasn't noticed you yet, but he's mumbling incoherently to himself as he grabs random things and throws them into his pot.
There's a table in the center of the room, set up for what looks like afternoon tea. It sticks out amongst the mess, because unlike everything else, the table appears to be completely untouched by the chaos around it. It's literally spotless and perfect. You count the place settings... 1... 2... 3... 4... 5... An odd number. Perhaps he's expecting company.
You can choose to stay and check out the kitchen, or leave.

Raven looks around as she comes upon the kitchen scene. While her eyes take in the rabbit throwing whatever it might have been into his pot her mind was traveling elsewhere. Looking around in all ways to take in the scene she had just stumbled upon. As she saw the table and the untouched setting all in their places she made the decision to stay and see how this was going to pan out. Not being stupid enough to approach the rabbit and his boiling pot she paused just inside the doorway and called out "Um. Excuse me... It's awfully dark in here." in a soft voice.

The rabbit continued his work, mumbling to himself as he effortlessly threw random ingredients into his pot. Including inedible ones, such as the dishes in the cabinets. Of course he had to chop them up, first! So he grabbed one of the wooden cutting boards and a butcher's knife and began dicing up the dishes to add them to his pot.
He completely ignored your remark and turned around to glare at you, almost as if he was trying to get a better look at you. "Yer a funny lookin' type... Aren't yah?"
He hopped down off of his step-stool and meandered closer to you, still carrying the butcher's knife with him. He pointed it at you as he grew closer still... "Yah fancy stayin' fer tea? It'll be tea time soon 'nough. My kettle took tah growin' legs and walked off last week so I'm makin' the tea in this pot."
His eye twitched as he thought of how his tea kettle had literally grown legs and walked away. He was so sad.

Raven quirked a brow as her eyes adjusted to the dim light. Her eyes made note of all of the messiness everywhere. Blood, blood, blood, and just for a little change of pace, tea mixed with blood. It was then that the rabbit turned around and spoke. Well how rude. She wasn't the funny looking one at all here. He was the one who wasn't even HUMAN. Jerk. Anyway she stood there not saying anything ad he came down off his step-stood and wandered over. Her had instinctively went for her pocket and the shard of mirror. Not that it was going to protect her. But hey, it was a small sharp piece of reflective glass. It had to be good for something. Maybe she could use it to defend herself if need be. No. Scratch that. She was just gonna wing it. Her hand fell limply at her side and waited. Approaching her the rabbit made a complaint about how his kettle had gotten up and walked away on top of the invitation to tea. Hmmn. It could have gone a myriad of different ways. It didn't matter about the walking kettle but maybe she should stay for tea. Maybe it would mean getting some good information from the rabbit. As long as he didn't expect her to drink that nasty concoction he was brewing. That was not gonna happen. And she was gonna be for damn sure that he wasn't looking to add her to the pot of 'tea'. Nodding softly she approached the table and sat down at the fourth place-setting.

As soon as you seated yourself at the table, the March Hare went about fawning over you and bringing you all kinds of things. He was happy to have the company, it seemed. He was showering you with biscuits and fancy little edible things like hard candies and tiny cakes. He hopped over the mess he had created and up onto his step stool to check on his boiling pot, when suddenly he turned around and looked at you with a slightly crazy expression on his face.
"Do yah take one lump er two?" he asked as he was using a ladle to dip some of his concoction out of the pot and into a gravy bowl. His paw was shaky though and he was spilling it everywhere...
With a crooked and twisted smile on his face, his two little buck teeth showing from behind his lips, he brought the gravy bowl filled with his secret soup over to you and set it down on the table as gently as he could so as not to screw up his perfectly set table.
Quickly he hopped over to the counter and began throwing stuff everywhere in search of his bowls of sugar and cream, though little did he know they were already on the table! "Can't seem tah find a darn thing in this mess! Do yah see the cream and sugar?!"
He frantically began tugging on his long ears, fraying the hair on them in all directions. He was nervous that he was going to be a bad host. "Oooohh if I don't find it before the Queen gets here she'll have my h-h-h-head..."
